Frequently asked questions

Yes, 3 days is the sweet spot. Enough for the classic trio (Comuna 13, Guatape day trip, and one food or city neighborhood day) without feeling rushed. Add a 4th day for paragliding or Jardin.

El Poblado (most central, nightlife, restaurants, safe) or Laureles (quieter, more local, still safe). Avoid downtown for sleeping.

Metro is clean, safe, cheap (3,200 COP per ride) and connects to the Metrocable cable cars. Uber and InDriver fill in the rest. Do not use street taxis at night.

Any weekday to avoid local weekend crowds. Monday is sometimes quieter because tours run Tuesday to Sunday. Weekends are busy with Medellin families.
